I cleaned out space for you in my life:
I threw out and consolidated my cabinets, drawers and closets
Making room for your things:
the perfume of your love, the powder of your thoughts, the lip gloss of your kisses
Making room for your things:
the perfume of your love, the powder of your thoughts, the lip gloss of your kisses
I tossed out my old crap to create an empty space where you and I could build together. I tossed the toothpaste I shared with my ex-wife, a bar of soap from somewhere in Texas, and moldy shampoo for hair I no longer have.
I dreamed of how we could share a cabinet, how life could be good sex, filling up cabinets with you could be a kind of long, hot foreplay. Dreams of a shared life filed the empty cabinets
But my cabinets are still empty and soon I will find some crap to put in the empty spaces I put aside for us
